The Summit: Goal and Gratitude Journal is developed with current research of organizational and planning habits in mind. The Summit Journal uses the imagery of hiking a mountain to help people envision their goals. The desire to “climb to the top” is then broken down, starting with the largest barriers to success and then determining the necessary smaller steps to overcome them.
This is not a day-to-day journal.
Current research would agree that day planners are not effective to accomplish long term goals – they put too much emphasis on fire-fighting daily demands and not enough on developing larger opportunities and values. The Summit Journal flips the script – focusing overall progress of a goal before planning on a monthly and weekly perspective. Daily tasks are properly understood as only small stepping stones in the larger climb to the top.
Positivity, mindfulness, and gratitude are key.
The Summit Journal purposefully breaks up your goal progress into meaningful milestones. Between each major milestone is a reminder to think back on the journey so far and thank someone for their part in getting you there. At the back of each journal are perforated thank you cards, intended to be torn out and regularly given to those who help you succeed. This mentality of constant gratitude opens doors to connections that would otherwise go undeveloped. This powerful networking and community building step steers the path of your success, and may just enable new opportunities in the future.
